I built Random Tools on a simple premise: useful calculators should be free, fast, and respect your privacy. No paywalls. No required accounts. No data collection. Just tools that work.

Every calculator on this site answers real questions people ask every day — "how old is my dog in human years?", "how many working days until my deadline?", "what's the exact age difference between us?" — and answers them accurately, instantly, entirely in your browser.

Background & Expertise

I'm a software engineer with extensive experience building web applications. Random Tools is a passion project rooted in a frustration with calculator sites that are cluttered with ads, require sign-ups for basic answers, or worse — give inaccurate results.

My approach to every calculator on this site:

• Research-backed formulas — medical and scientific sources are consulted for every health-related tool, with methodology documented in each calculator's content
• Edge case testing — leap years, February 29 birthdays, century year exceptions, Lunar New Year cutoffs for Chinese/Korean age, timezone boundaries
• Plain-language explanations — every result comes with context, not just a number
• Maintained accuracy — calculators are reviewed and updated when standards, guidelines, or legal definitions change

Every calculator on this site is built to a documented accuracy standard. Where authoritative guidelines exist, they are followed:

• Pregnancy tools — gestational age, trimester dates, and due date calculations follow ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) published guidelines
• Cat age calculator — uses the formula endorsed by the AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners) and International Cat Care
• Dog age calculator — based on AVMA guidance and published breed-size research
• Korean age calculator — reflects the June 2023 official adoption of international age in South Korea
• Chinese age calculator — uses accurate Lunar New Year dates for zodiac animal boundary calculations
• Working days calculator — includes U.S. federal holiday schedules, reviewed annually
• Leap year calculator — implements the complete Gregorian calendar algorithm (divisible by 4, century exception, 400-year exception)

Privacy-First by Design

Every tool on this site processes data entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you enter your birth date, it never leaves your device. No servers see it. No databases store it. No ads are targeted based on it.

This isn't just a policy — it's an architectural decision. The site is built so that sensitive inputs (birth dates, health information, cycle data) are mathematically impossible to collect from the server side, because the server never receives them.
